Fossilized nautiloid cephalopod of the genus Orthoceras.  Polished specimen plate. 

Found in Devonian fossiliferous limestone from the Atlas Mountain Range in southern Morocco, near the Sahara Desert.  ~350 million years old.

This Orthoceras plate measures ~ 18"  x  21"
