Many of the sculptures we offer are carved by Chinese Master carvers. Their careers are relatively short, averaging between the ages of 35 to 50 years old. At the age of 35, a carver is considered to have had enough experience to be considered a master. Unfortunately, the extreme amount of hand eye coordination required to carve such delicate artistry takes its toll on both a carver's eyesight and steadiness of hand. The artist's body also begins to where down due to the constant hunching over when carving their masterpieces. Therefore, most Chinese Master carvers end their career around 50 to 55 years of age.

This is an exquisite sculpture carved from Mammoth Ivory depicting a majestic and powerful Dragon standing protectively and proudly over it's own infant.

The attention to detail and craftsmanship is nothing less than amazing in this beautiful sculpture.
